Colt’s line freezing services provide a non-intrusive method for performing maintenance, repairs, or modifications on pipelines or systems. MECHANICAL LINE FREEZES
When performing mechanical line freezing services, Colt technicians utilize specialized freeze jackets or clamps to create a physical barrier around the section of the pipe that requires intervention. These jackets or clamps are chilled using refrigerants or other cooling agents, effectively freezing the pipe and creating a seal. The pipe must be filled solid, with with zero flow. This allows maintenance to be performed without interruption to the remainder of the system, allowing for quicker turnaround and less waste.
